Crewkerne Station Needs Friends
In today's economic climate, South West Trains are likely to continue to reduce the level of customer service available at all stations in order to save money. This will have serious effects on people's perceptions of public transport, and will ultimately lead to fewer people using public transport unless local people provide some
help with facilities. We need your help – to set up a group of friends of Crewkerne Station we need a number of volunteers who are prepared to spend some time on the station on a regular basis.
Activities that the volunteers are expected to consider doing include:
- Regularly visit the station and fill in the Station Survey Form
- Alert South West Trains to any damage, vandalism or disrepair
- Suggest improvements and ideas for the overall benefit of customers using the station
- Litter pick ups
- Plant provision and tending
- Publicity distribution
- Grass Cutting
- Fundraising for equipment and materials
This is not an exhaustive list. Other ideas will be considered by the group and by South West Trains.
