CALIBRE (Crewkerne And Locality: Industry, Business & Rural Enterprise) was a subgroup of the ABCD project and was formed in 2007 to 'promote Crewkerne & district as a business location'. The CALIBRE Group consisted of local entrepreneur and former Chamber of Commerce leader, Marcus Barrett (Chairman), Somerset County Councillor, John Dyke, and South Somerset District Councillor and Town Councillor, Angie Singleton.

The group published a short report in 2007 - many of the targets of which were met by a dynamic business community in the area in the time since. The aim of CALIBRE was simple: to raise awareness at large of the many advantages to doing business in Crewkerne and its area.
